Our Business Model

We accept insurance and cash payments. You may choose the option that works best for you. We are often asked why we chose this model, and the answer is to save patients’ money.

Health insurance is one of the most complicated products that most people own, assuming they even have it anymore in these days of economic hardship. Each plan is different, but a high deductible plan means you are responsible to meet that dollar amount before the insurance pays the bill.

In other words, just having insurance doesn’t necessarily mean you owe nothing or next to nothing for your study. Hospitals and places that bill insurance charge a high price for these studies. Even though your plan may offer some discounts, you will still have to pay out-of-pocket until your deductible is met. This may cost you thousands of dollars depending on the plan.

There may also be a second bill for the professional interpretation from the radiologist. If you don’t have insurance, you will obviously be responsible to pay all of it. In such a case, you might decide to forego an exam important for your health and well-being.

How We Help You

We make it easy and affordable by charging one low amount. The price we give is the “out-the-door” one. There are no hidden expenses or separate bills. Our cash prices are listed here on our site, and we invite you to check them out and call area hospitals to check out their self-pay prices.

We know we are a fraction of their costs. Although we cannot give a guarantee, some plans will accept our receipt and apply the amount you paid towards your deductible.

Our equipment is state-of-the-art, and our technologists carry multiple certifications and have years of experience. Our physicians are all experienced and board-certified and readily available for consultation with referring providers. We are also proud of our patient-friendly staff and the relaxed atmosphere of our practice.

Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Stephen Gordin

A native of South Carolina, he received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina.

Dr. Stephen Gordin is board-certified radiologist with nearly thirty years of experience in the field.

He completed his radiology residency at West Virginia University and a neuroradiology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Charles Parke

A native of North Carolina, he received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina.

Dr. Charles Parke is a board-certified radiologist with nearly thirty years in the field.

He completed his radiology residency at University of Alabama and a fellowship in body imaging at the University of Pittsburgh.

James K. Liu, MD, FACC

Dr. James Liu is a board-certified cardiologist with 20 years of practice in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Dr. Liu was born in Ohio and grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center.

He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. Dr. Liu completed his cardiology fellowship at the State University of New York in Buffalo.
